Swimming Fun at North Park Pool!

My son, now 5, used to be terrified of the water.  This summer has changed him forever.  Much to my happiness he now enjoys going into the water, even dunking his head in.  Up until this year he screamed anytime water got in his eyes or on his head.  I contribute this change to exposure to the public pool at North Park as well as seeing his peers play in the water.

We have a membership to the North Park pool.  We go at least once a week but would love to go more.  Even on the most crowded days, you can still enjoy the pool.  I head straight toward the shady spot under the trees.  You would think this is where everyone would be but there are many sun worshipers on the premises, who want direct sunlight.

Although you are not allowed to bring your own food and drinks...I pack juice boxes, water, and small snack to get us between meals.  If we do buy food we all share to save money.  Another rule is no floaters of any kind.  They do have inner tubes to rent for the day; It's worth it.  My tip is enjoy the time and make sure its a day you can spend with out rushing to do other activities.
